With Revolution 1 just over five-weeks away all is in readiness for what promises to be a truly great night. Since it’s launch on the TODAY Show on 6 October, there has been a buzz building within track cycling aficionados and Melbourne’s famous sports lovers alike – Track really is Back!
With a host of big names already confirmed, and more big announcements to come, there is no doubt that Melbourne will be treated to possibly its best night of track cycling ever! And that includes the World Champs in 2004 and last years Commonwealth Games. A big call… maybe? But unlike those events, Revolution offers a whole night of finals-style racing and non-stop action. Not one repetitive qualifier after another with final or two thrown in.
Revolution sits outside the confines of UCI category regulations, so it can be all about the best riders doing what they do best in an atmosphere of fun and celebration. Don’t worry, the competitive juices will be flowing as strong as ever, with everyone keen to gain the psychological advantage leading into the following weeks Sydney World Cup.
